The Florida Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (FSFPRS) and the Florida Society of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery (FSO-HNS) are partner organizations. This partnership entails alignment of strategic goals and membership benefits, including shared educational events, legislative outreach, and communication.

Members may choose to join one of the organizations or both. Members choosing to join both organizations will be a primary member in one and a secondary member in the other. Members of the organizations will receive a practice listing on this website as well as other networking opportunities. Take advantage of a secondary membership to either organization for an additional $50.

About FSO-HNS Members

The active membership of the FSO-HNS is made up of recipients of an M.D. or D.O. degree who have completed a residency program, which shall consist of a minimum of two years of postgraduate training and three years of otolaryngology training, with the exception of osteopathic applicants who complete a minimum of one year postgraduate training and three years of otolaryngology training.

Members shall be Diplomats of the American Board of Otolaryngology or the American Board of Osteopathic Board of Surgery or be eligible to sit for either exam and provide proof of the same. Members will limit practice to the full time and exclusive practice or teaching of otolaryngology.

The membership of the FSO-HNS shall be composed of active, honorary, and retired physicians in clinical practice, academic appointments, military and government service.

About FSFPRS Members

Specialization in medicine has been one of the major enhancements in patient care over the last generation. FSFPRS members not only have a precise focus in patient care but they also have had more comprehensive training in facial surgery than any other medical specialty.

All FSFPRS members are board certified by a specialty board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). A majority are certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Others are certified in plastic surgery, ophthalmology, and dermatology.

Continuing Medical Education Credits

Members receive reduced and early bird registration to the Florida Combined Otolaryngology Meeting in the Fall, Also known as FCOM. No need to travel across the country for CME hours! The FSO-HNS/FSFPRS holds its meeting annually, in resorts that are close to home. Earn credits in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with colleagues and peers.

Legislative activities include:

Representation at the state level with Florida Medical Association (FMA), ensuring specialty-specific concerns are understood and acted upon within the sphere of Medicine.
Political representation and influence through lobbying firm Fiorentino & Associates.
Representation at the Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee (MCAC).
E-alerts and communications.
